Mountain Crest saved my life. I was very sick when I first came here and had no desire whatsoever to live. The staff especially the nurses were very compassionate, respectful and supportive. I am very grateful for the treatment I received during my stay here.

Food really sucks and I hated that they had to stuff 2 beds in 1 room. But other than that, it was a life changer for me, despite some inconvinienes. But hey, it's a psychiatric hospital, not a luxury hotel. Most of the staff was friendly, and I just felt safe. I was able to think about my life without fear for maybe the first time ever. I felt like I could make new decisions without feeling emotionally distraught. I began to think more clearly. I never felt safer in my life.

This place is truly wonderful! The second time I went was amazing. I enjoyed being with the people I met. It made the experience a lot better. The first time I went I was very nervous and didn’t wanna talk to anyone. But the groups, staff, and peers made me want to share more and be apart of more actives. It also made me be more open. I like that this place keeps you safe. Shoutout to Kara, Kim, Greg, and Christina!! They helped a lot and they are very nice, funny, and most of all supportive. So grateful that I got the chance to met them. I really learned a lot that will help me better my life! 💕

I had a family member that spent some time here for a week. They told me of how well they enjoyed the therapists and still to this day miss talking to them. The center was very accommodating to visitations and special care that we needed.

Great place! I learned a lot. The staff are very nice and supportive. Just some miscommunications on some things. Also the cleaning I feel like could of been better. The food was also very good. It's a great place to get help and keep you safe.

***Not a clean environment*** They need to hire an outside contracting team that is specialized in sanitizing and thorough cleaning. If you have OCD this place will drive you more crazy. When you tell the cleaning ladies about the sloppy cleaning, they get offended. All of the Nurses are awesome and the DBT and CBT coaches... You will learn some very important coping skills if you pay attention and ready to make a change in your life. The food was poorly prepared too. Most times it was cold, soggie, and lacked taste.

Mountain Crest does outpatient counseling (psychologists, social workers) and outpatient psychiatric counseling (including medication). They work with children, teens, and adults. They also have an in-patient section for teens and adults needing round-the-clock care for several days or weeks. We have had good experiences with outpatient and inpatient care for both counseling and medications, as well as parent/teen DBT classes. For in-patient care (i.e. when someone is here for many days) you will likely see multiple counselors and psychiatrists because of trading off days/shifts. In general, the handoff of information is fairly smooth, but sometimes different people may not approach issues exactly the same way (no surprise).
